# Getting Started

## What is CoinLotto and how does it work?

CoinLotto is an on-chain lottery protocol available on BNB Chain, Base, Polygon, and Ethereum. It brings together three ways to participate: Play lotteries, Launch your own lottery, and Earn through the Referral Program.

CoinLotto uses raffle-style ticket draws: each ticket receives a unique on-chain ticket number at purchase - there is no number-selection step. When a draw is finalized, the protocol randomly selects winning ticket numbers using Chainlink VRF 2.5 and distributes the entire final Prize Pool among the winners under the lottery's predefined rules.

Ticket purchases, Prize Pool activity, draw outcomes, and prize claims are publicly verifiable on-chain.

See [What is CoinLotto](/protocol-overview/what-is-coinlotto) for the protocol overview.

## How do I start playing? Do I need an account?

There is no registration. Connect a supported wallet, choose a lottery, review its ticket information on the lottery card, and confirm the purchase transaction. Your wallet is your identity in the protocol: tickets, rewards, and referral relationships are tied to your wallet address on-chain.

## Do I need KYC to play?

No identity documents are requested anywhere in the protocol flow - participation is wallet-based, with no accounts, emails, or passwords. Instead of traditional KYC, CoinLotto screens wallet addresses against applicable sanctions data using the Chainalysis Oracle, under the protocol's rules.

## Which wallets are supported?

CoinLotto works with any EVM-compatible wallet that can connect to the supported networks (BNB Chain, Base, Polygon, Ethereum) and sign transactions. Popular options include MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, Rabby, and other WalletConnect-compatible wallets.

## What blockchains does CoinLotto support?

CoinLotto currently supports four networks: BNB Chain, Base, Polygon, and Ethereum. Lottery activity, balances, and referral binding are recorded on the network where the relevant transaction occurs.

See [Supported Networks](/reference/supported-networks) for the current network reference.

## Can I play on mobile?

Yes. The CoinLotto interface is fully responsive and adapts to desktop, tablet, and mobile screens of any resolution - no separate app is required.

You play the same way on every device: open the site, connect a supported wallet, and confirm transactions as usual.
