# Launch a Lottery

<Warning>
  This page is a Draft. Its content may change before final publication.

## How do I create my own lottery?

Any wallet can launch a User-Created Lottery through CoinLotto - it is permissionless and happens on-chain (creation requires a network gas fee). You configure the lottery, review, and confirm the creation transaction. Once confirmed, the lottery is live: its configuration cannot be changed and its rules remain publicly verifiable on-chain. Your lottery runs on the same immutable protocol mechanics as CoinLotto's own lotteries - you configure it, but you never custody the Prize Pool.

## What can I configure?

* ERC-20 entry token (pick from the CoinLotto list or enter the contract address of any ERC-20 token);
* ticket price;
* ticket limit (optional);
* draw date;
* Prize Distribution model (Tier, Win Rate, or Multiplier);
* Creator Fee from 0% to 30% of ticket sales.

## How do I earn as a Creator?

Your Creator Fee (0-30% of ticket sales, set at creation) is deducted from ticket sales along with the 5% Protocol Fee before the remainder enters the Prize Pool. The Creator Fee becomes claimable immediately after the draw is finalized - you claim it manually from the wallet that created the lottery, and it never expires. Note: CoinLotto expects to reduce the 30% maximum significantly in future protocol configurations; any reduction applies only to newly created lotteries.

## Who runs the draw for my lottery?

A draw becomes available once at least one ticket is sold and the draw time has passed (or the ticket limit is reached). Any wallet can then initiate the draw - the initiating wallet pays the network gas fee and the applicable Chainlink VRF fee. Winner selection uses the same verified Chainlink VRF 2.5 flow as every CoinLotto lottery.

## What does a User-Created Lottery not include?

User-Created Lotteries do not provide a CLT Reward per Ticket, do not make Missions available, and do not participate in the Super Lottery allocation system. Referred users' purchases in your lottery still generate the 50% Revenue Share for their Referrers.

See [Launch a Lottery](/lottery-mechanics/launch-a-lottery) and [User-Created Lottery](/lottery-types/user-created-lottery) for the creator flow and rules.
