# Payments, Fees, and Blockchain

## Which cryptocurrencies can I use?

CoinLotto supports ERC-20 tokens only. Each Protocol Lottery and User-Created Lottery displays its entry token before purchase, and tickets are bought in that token on the network where the lottery was created. Super Lotteries accept only CLT.

Token listings are checked against CoinGecko: a token not listed there is marked "Unverified" on the lottery card - an informational label that does not affect the token's on-chain behavior.

See [Supported Tokens](/reference/supported-tokens) for token support and the Unverified label.

## What fees does CoinLotto charge?

* **Protocol Lottery:** 5% Protocol Fee + 10% Super Lottery Allocation (both from ticket sales).
* **Super Lottery:** 5% CLT Protocol Fee on CLT used to enter.
* **User-Created Lottery:** 5% Protocol Fee + Creator Fee of up to 30% of ticket sales, set by the Creator (CoinLotto expects to reduce this maximum for newly created lotteries in future configurations).

Fees and allocations are deducted from ticket sales before the remainder enters the Prize Pool - the displayed ticket price is the full cost of entry. Prize Pool Top-Ups carry no fees at all.

Referral Revenue Share (50% of the Protocol Fee from referred users' tickets) applies to Protocol Lotteries and User-Created Lotteries, not to Super Lotteries.

See [Fees](/lottery-mechanics/fees) for the complete fee and allocation model.

## What are gas fees?

Gas fees are small transaction costs paid directly to the blockchain network - not to CoinLotto - whenever you perform an on-chain action: buying a ticket, claiming a prize or reward, creating a lottery, topping up a Prize Pool, or initiating a draw. Keep a small reserve of the network's native currency in your wallet to cover them. Initiating a draw additionally requires the applicable Chainlink VRF fee.

## Do you accept fiat payments?

Not at the moment - CoinLotto is a crypto-only protocol. Direct fiat payments (credit cards or bank transfers) are not accepted.

If you currently hold only fiat, you can buy a supported token on any exchange, transfer it to your wallet on the relevant network (BNB Chain, Base, Polygon, or Ethereum), and start playing. Remember to also keep a small amount of the network's native currency to cover gas fees.
