# Prize Pool Top-Up

## Overview

Prize Pool Top-Up allows anyone to increase the Prize Pool of an active lottery by contributing additional tokens directly to the lottery.

This feature is available for **all CoinLotto lottery types** and enables communities, creators, partners, sponsors, or individual participants to increase the value of a lottery without changing its rules.

## How it works

A Prize Pool Top-Up transfers additional tokens directly into the lottery's Prize Pool.

Unlike purchasing tickets, a top-up does **not** create new entries or increase the contributor's chances of winning. Its only purpose is to increase the total amount available to winning tickets.

## Fee treatment

The full top-up amount goes directly to the target Prize Pool.

No Protocol Fee, Creator Fee, or Super Lottery Allocation applies to a Prize Pool Top-Up.

Top-ups and top-up revocations are on-chain transactions and require a network gas fee.

## Who can top up?

Any wallet can top up an active lottery. The feature is permissionless and does not require a special role or approval.

## Revoking a top-up

A Prize Pool Top-Up may be revoked only after the lottery has ended and only if no tickets were sold.

The funds can be revoked only by the wallet that made the original top-up. No other wallet can revoke or receive that top-up.

## What changes?

After a successful top-up:

* The Prize Pool increases.
* The updated Prize Pool is immediately visible.
* The lottery rules remain unchanged.
* Prize Distribution remains unchanged.
* Any Super Lottery allocation remains unchanged because it is calculated from ticket revenue, not the Prize Pool.
* Existing tickets remain valid.
* No additional tickets are created.

## Supported lottery types

Prize Pool Top-Up is available for:

* Protocol Lottery
* Super Lottery
* User-Created Lottery

The top-up process follows the same principles across all lottery types.

## Transparency

Every Prize Pool Top-Up is recorded on-chain. Participants can verify:

* The top-up transaction.
* The contributed amount.
* The updated Prize Pool balance.

All changes are publicly visible.
