How much does a ticket cost?

Ticket prices are set per lottery and shown on the lottery card before purchase. The displayed ticket price is the full cost of entry - applicable fees and allocations are taken from the ticket purchase rather than charged as separate amounts. As with any on-chain action, a small network gas fee applies on top.

Can I buy a ticket as a gift?

Yes. Select Buy as a Gift during purchase and enter the recipient’s wallet address. You pay the ticket price and network gas fee, but the recipient becomes the ticket owner and participates in the draw. Any winning prize, CLT Reward per Ticket, and Mission progress available for that ticket belong to the recipient. The recipient must use the wallet that received the ticket to claim resulting prizes or rewards. Referral attribution still follows the purchasing wallet, not the recipient. See Buying Tickets for the complete gift flow and Referral Program for referral rules.

How do lottery draws work, and how is the winner selected?

A draw becomes available when at least one ticket has been sold and either the scheduled draw time has passed or the ticket limit has been reached (if one was set). For Protocol Lotteries and Super Lotteries, CoinLotto monitors draw availability and ensures draws are initiated automatically when conditions are met. For User-Created Lotteries, any wallet can initiate an available draw (the initiator pays the network gas fee and the applicable Chainlink VRF fee). Winner selection:
  1. the draw request is recorded on-chain;
  2. Chainlink VRF 2.5 returns a random value with a cryptographic proof;
  3. the proof is verified on-chain before the value can be used;
  4. the contract selects winning ticket numbers under the lottery’s fixed Prize Distribution rules;
  5. the draw is finalized, the outcome becomes immutable, and prizes become claimable.
If no VRF response is received within 15 minutes, the draw can be retried; no winner selection occurs until a verified response arrives on-chain. See Lottery Draw and Verifiable Randomness for the complete draw flow.

Is the draw really random? Can I verify it?

Yes. CoinLotto uses Chainlink VRF 2.5, an independent third-party verifiable-randomness service. Each request, cryptographic proof, and final result can be verified on-chain. No CoinLotto operator, Creator, or participant can choose, replace, or alter the random value used for a completed draw - the protocol cannot finalize winner selection until a verified VRF response is received on-chain. You can verify the draw request, the resulting transaction, and the finalized lottery state through a supported blockchain explorer.

What are my odds of winning?

Your odds depend on how many tickets are sold and on the lottery’s Prize Distribution model, fixed at creation and shown on the lottery card.
  • Tier - predefined winning positions (up to 20), each receiving a configured percentage of the Prize Pool.
  • Win Rate - a target percentage of sold tickets (0.1%–50%) wins; the Prize Pool is split equally among winners; at least one winning ticket is always selected when the Prize Pool is greater than zero.
  • Multiplier - the number of winners is derived from a target payout of 1.5x-10x the ticket price; the Prize Pool is split equally among winners; at least one winner is always selected when the Prize Pool is greater than zero.
Because winner counts must be whole numbers, actual win rates and multipliers can differ slightly from configured targets due to rounding. Buying more tickets in a draw increases your share of its ticket numbers. Separately, the Luck Insurance Mission rewards persistent players: holding at least 10 non-winning tickets across completed Protocol Lottery draws earns a claimable 10 CLT reward. See Prize Distribution for the available models and their rules.

What happens if I win? How do I claim my prize?

Winning prizes become claimable immediately after the draw is finalized. CoinLotto is non-custodial and never sends funds automatically: the winning wallet submits a claim transaction, the smart contract verifies ownership, and the prize transfers directly to your wallet. Claims can be made through the CoinLotto interface. A claim is an on-chain transaction and requires a network gas fee. See Claiming Rewards for claim timing by reward type.

How long does it take to get paid?

There is no payout queue and no manual approval. The moment the draw is finalized on-chain, your winnings are claimable. You decide when to submit the claim transaction - availability never expires.

What happens to unclaimed prizes?

No unclaimed prize, reward, or fee expires. Funds remain under the control of the immutable smart contracts until the entitled wallet claims them. As long as you control the winning wallet, you can claim it at any time.

Are there minimum withdrawal amounts or limits?

No. CoinLotto is a non-custodial protocol - there are no platform-imposed minimum withdrawal amounts, withdrawal limits, or cash-out thresholds. Your funds are never held in a company account; they sit in the smart contract until you claim. Practical tip: since every claim is a blockchain transaction with a gas fee, it is worth claiming when the amount comfortably exceeds the gas cost. Claims are token-specific, so you choose which token to claim and when.

What is the Prize Pool and how is it formed?

The Prize Pool is the total token amount awarded to winning tickets at draw finalization. It is held by immutable smart contracts, not by CoinLotto, a Creator, or any custodian. Formation by lottery type:
  • Protocol Lottery = Ticket Sales - Protocol Fee (5%) - Super Allocation (10%) + Direct Top-Ups.
  • Super Lottery = Received Allocations from linked Protocol Lotteries + Direct Top-Ups.
  • User-Created Lottery = Ticket Sales - Protocol Fee (5%) - Creator Fee (0-30%) + Direct Top-Ups.
The entire final Prize Pool is distributed to winners at every draw. See Prize Pool for the full funding model.

Can I increase a Prize Pool without buying tickets?

Yes - any wallet can make a Prize Pool Top-Up on any active lottery. The full top-up amount goes directly to the Prize Pool: no Protocol Fee, Creator Fee, or Super Lottery Allocation applies. A top-up does not create tickets or improve the contributor’s odds; it only increases what winners receive. A top-up can be revoked only after the lottery has ended, only if no tickets were sold, and only by the wallet that made it. See Prize Pool Top-Up for the complete rules.
