CoinLotto is built around a set of rules and safeguards that apply to every lottery in the protocol.

Shared protocol infrastructure

All lotteries on CoinLotto operate within the same protocol infrastructure. Whether a lottery is launched by CoinLotto or by a Creator, it uses the same immutable on-chain mechanics for ticket activity, draw execution, and prize distribution.

Fixed lottery rules

Every lottery is created with a fixed configuration. Once a lottery is live, its rules cannot be changed. Its parameters remain publicly verifiable on-chain throughout its lifecycle.

Ticket-based draws

CoinLotto uses raffle-style ticket draws. Each purchased ticket receives a unique on-chain ticket number. Players do not select lottery numbers. When a draw is finalized, winning ticket numbers are selected and the corresponding ticket holders receive prizes under the lottery’s configured Prize Distribution model. The entire final Prize Pool is distributed at the end of every draw.

Verifiable activity

Ticket purchases, Prize Pool activity, draw outcomes, and claims are recorded on-chain. This allows participants to independently verify the lifecycle of a lottery without relying only on the CoinLotto interface. See Fairness and Transparency for the complete security and verification model.

User-controlled claims

Prizes, rewards, and fees are never sent automatically. When a claim becomes available, the eligible wallet chooses when to submit the on-chain claim transaction. Claims are token-specific and do not expire. See Claiming Rewards for claim conditions by reward type.

Protocol roles

CoinLotto has four primary roles:
