Any wallet can launch a User-Created Lottery through CoinLotto.
Launching a lottery is permissionless and happens on-chain. Creating it requires a network gas fee.
Set the lottery configuration
Before creating the lottery, the Creator sets its:
- ERC-20 entry token
- Ticket price
- Ticket limit, if used
- Draw date
- Prize Distribution model
- Creator Fee, from 0% to 30% of ticket sales
For the entry token, the Creator can select a token from the CoinLotto list or enter the contract address of any ERC-20 token.
See Fees for the Protocol Fee and how ticket-purchase amounts are allocated.
Review and create
The Creator reviews the lottery configuration and confirms the creation transaction with their wallet.
Once the transaction is confirmed, the lottery is live. Its configuration cannot be changed, and its rules remain publicly verifiable on-chain.
The same immutable protocol mechanics govern ticket purchases, Prize Pool accounting, draw execution, and prize distribution.
After launch
The Creator can share the lottery with its intended audience. Any wallet may increase an active lottery’s Prize Pool through a Prize Pool Top-Up.
A draw becomes available after at least one ticket has been sold and either the scheduled draw time has passed or the ticket limit has been reached, if one was set. Any wallet can initiate an available User-Created Lottery draw.
The wallet that initiates the draw pays the network gas fee and the applicable Chainlink VRF fee. Once the draw is finalized, the Creator Fee and winning prizes become claimable by their respective wallets.
See Verifiable Randomness for the Chainlink VRF flow, retry condition, and independent draw verification.
Protocol-specific features
User-Created Lotteries do not provide a CLT Reward per Ticket, do not make Missions available, and do not participate in the Super Lottery allocation system.
