Buying a ticket is a direct on-chain entry into a CoinLotto draw. Connect a supported wallet, choose a lottery, review its ticket information, and confirm the purchase transaction. Ticket purchases are on-chain transactions and require a network gas fee. The displayed ticket price is the full cost of entry. Applicable fees and allocations are taken from the ticket purchase rather than charged as separate amounts. See Fees for how ticket-purchase amounts are allocated.

What happens when you buy

Once the purchase transaction is confirmed:
  1. The purchase is recorded on-chain.
  2. The protocol assigns a unique ticket number to the purchased ticket.
  3. The ticket becomes an entry in that lottery’s draw.
Players do not choose lottery numbers. Winning ticket numbers are selected only when the draw is finalized.

Buying a ticket as a gift

During purchase, a player can select Buy as a Gift and enter the recipient’s wallet address. The purchasing wallet pays the ticket price and network gas fee, but the recipient becomes the owner of the ticket. The ticket participates in the draw on behalf of the recipient. As the ticket owner, the recipient receives all applicable ticket-based benefits:
  • the right to claim a winning prize;
  • the CLT Reward per Ticket, where available;
  • progress toward applicable Missions.
The recipient must use the wallet that received the ticket to claim any resulting prizes or rewards. Referral attribution is handled separately and follows the purchasing wallet, not the recipient. If the purchase creates a Referral Binding, it is created for the purchaser. Any referral rewards generated by the purchase are credited under the purchaser’s Referral Binding. Receiving a gifted ticket does not create or change a Referral Binding for the recipient.

Protocol Lottery rewards

Every Protocol Lottery provides a CLT Reward per Ticket. The exact reward is shown before purchase. A CLT Reward per Ticket is not available in Super Lotteries or User-Created Lotteries. Referral binding

If the purchasing wallet buys a ticket within an active referral attribution window, the referral becomes permanently bound on-chain for that network. This also applies when the ticket is bought as a gift. Referral binding is performed independently on each supported network. See Referral Program for attribution and reward rules.
