User-Created Lotteries allow any wallet to launch a lottery through CoinLotto. They give communities, creators, projects, and partners access to the same on-chain lottery infrastructure used by CoinLotto-operated lotteries.

Created through the CoinLotto Protocol

A Creator launches a User-Created Lottery through CoinLotto. Creating a lottery is an on-chain transaction and requires a network gas fee. The lottery uses the same immutable on-chain mechanics for ticket activity, draw execution, and prize distribution as every other CoinLotto lottery. A Creator configures a User-Created Lottery but does not custody its Prize Pool. The Prize Pool is held by immutable smart contracts and can move only under the lottery’s encoded rules.

Creator configuration

During creation, the Creator configures the lottery’s:
  • ERC-20 entry token
  • Ticket price
  • Ticket limit
  • Prize Distribution model
  • Draw date
  • Creator Fee, from 0% to 30% of ticket sales
Once the lottery is live, its rules cannot be changed. Its parameters remain publicly verifiable on-chain.

What is not included

User-Created Lotteries do not provide a CLT Reward per Ticket. Missions are not available in User-Created Lotteries. User-Created Lotteries do not participate in the Super Lottery allocation system.

Creator fees

A 5% Protocol Fee and the Creator Fee are deducted from ticket sales before the remaining amount enters the Prize Pool. The Creator Fee becomes claimable by the Creator immediately after the lottery draw is finalized. The Creator claims it manually from the wallet that created the lottery. It does not expire. See Fees for details.

Prize Pool Top-Ups

Any wallet can increase the Prize Pool of an active User-Created Lottery through a Prize Pool Top-Up. A top-up increases the value available to winners without changing the lottery’s rules or creating additional tickets.
